The Stone Forest & Life Without Diet Coke

Kunming, China

This is going to be a very short entry that I will update later because I have been up for 22 hours and I am going to bed.

I was awake at 4 am when we got our wake up call so I don’t think that I was quite as adjusted to the time as I had previously thought. We took a 3 hour flight from Shanghai to Kunming. We were then driven from the airport to the Stone Forest. It is an amazing collection of eroded limestone rocks covering over 300 square km. It was absolutely stunning as the pictures attest.

After checking into the hotel, I got ready for dinner but ended up not going. I developed a major headache that aspirin wouldn’t touch. It took me a while to realize that I had not had any caffeine for over a day and that was probably compounding the headache. I will never travel without an emergency supply of diet coke again.
