Driving to Hong Kong

Guilin, China

Today was a leisurely day – our pickup at the hotel wasn’t until 9 am – it was like taking a half day off! There was no rushing from place to place today as the only thing that was definitively scheduled was our evening flight to Hong Kong.

We visited some beautiful outdoor landscapes while trying to stay cool in the shade or even a few assorted caves – it was in the low 30’s yet again.

The flight to Hong Kong was quick and efficient! I can’t believe that the flight attendants can manage 2 rounds of drinks, serve a meal and clean up the cabin in less than an hour!

Our extremely energetic and fast talking guide Anna picked us up at the airport and shephered us to our hotel in Mongkok. We were so beat that we ordered room service (which was quite amazing) split a bottle of wine and headed off to bed.
