We are off and in a few short hours (28), 2 layovers, 2 customs checks and 3 flights we will be arriving in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The flights seemed like a good idea at the time that I booked them…..

We are quite excited. After almost a year, I can’t believe that it is finally here. We have travelled a lot but this trip seems different. Somehow, Central Asia seems so foreign and mysterious – the land of Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan and Marco Polo. No matter what happens it will be an adventure.
