I don’t know why but we were quite stressed as we packed for this trip. Maybe it was because of the multiple different temperature zones we are heading to ( London is 12 and rainy, Cape Town in around 20 and Windhoek is hovering around 30). Maybe it is because we are heading out on safari for the first time (and my new telephoto lens looks like I am overcompensating for something). All I know is that we are in for an amazing adventure as we will be travelling with Dan Ware (from Toto Tours) and Sidney and Allison Bond (from Le Calabash Petit Conservatoire de la Cuisine).

Update: We are in the middle of a 12 hour layover at London Heathrow. (LHR is absolutely massive!!!!). We checked into Yotel. It’s our first experience with a capsule hotel. The rooms are small pods with a bed, toilet,shower and TV. Very functional and a good way to get some rest on a layover. Bit weird: It’s the first time that we’ve rented a room by the hour!
