We piled into the van and headed out into the Tibetan countryside on our way to visit Gyantse and Shigatse. In this area of the country (most of the country cannot be visited by foreign tourists) there were beautiful sweeping plains and rolling hills. It is difficult taking pictures in a landscape such as this one – a photo can rarely capture the grandeur of such an epic landscape.
