Mumbai: Fish and Fun in India’s Financial Capital

Our trip ended with an additional day’s tour through Mumbai with part of our tour group.  We started the day with an aromatic journey through Sassoon Docks Fish Market as the fishermen were unloading their boats.  This was followed by a walk through Dobi Ghat, an open air laundromat where many hotels send their linens to be washed by hand.  To top off the day, we hopped on the train and meandered through the tangle of streets and alleyways in Dharavi, the largest slum in India.

After saying goodbye to our travelling companions, we headed to the St. Regis hotel for a couple of days of rest (and a few museum and art gallery tours) before heading home.
